Town of New Glasgow Invites Community to Annual Pre-Canada Day Celebration June 23, 2026, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia - The Town of New Glasgow is inviting residents and visitors to come together for its annual Pre-Canada Day Celebration on Tuesday, June 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Scott W. Weeks Sports Complex. This free family-friendly event will include a BBQ, Mayor’s Sweet Treat Social, bouncy castles, balloon animals, face painting, activities, games, the Town Crier, and live entertainment, with Andre Pettipas performing at 5:30 p.m. and Reckless taking the stage at 6:00 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. “The Pre-Canada Day Celebration is a wonderful annual tradition that brings people of all ages together to enjoy an evening of fun, music, and community spirit,” said Mayor Nancy Dicks. “It is always a special evening for our community, and we look forward to celebrating with everyone.” Community members are encouraged to bring the family, pack a lawn chair, and enjoy an evening of celebration in New Glasgow.   Event Details: Date: Tuesday, June 30 Time: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Location: Scott W.
